Five Eternal Wisdom by an Ancient Greek Philosopher, Aristotle

Aristotle of Stagira was a Greek philosopher who pioneered systematic, scientific examination in literally every area of human knowledge and was known, in his time, as "the man who knew everything", and, later, as "The Philosopher".

At seventeen or eighteen years of age, he joined Plato's Academy in Athens[4] and remained there until the age of thirty-seven (c. 347 BC). His writings cover many subjects – including physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theater, music, rhetoric, linguistics, politics and government – and constitute the first comprehensive system of Western philosophy. Shortly after Plato died, Aristotle left Athens and, at the request of Philip II of Macedon, tutored Alexander the Great beginning in 343 BC.

Below are the Five eternal wisdom by Aristotle, the intellectual who is regarded as the founder of formal logic:

1. Knowing yourself is beginning of all wisdom.

2. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit.

3. There is no great genius without a mixture of Madness.

4. Those who know, Do. Those that understand, Teach.

5. Patience is Bitter but its fruit is sweet.
