5 Inventions in the Ancient Era of Bharat That Shaped the Modern World.

Many Hollywood movies and foreigner mentality depict ancient India as a country of snake charmers. Illiterate people knowing nothing about the civilization and without British invasion, they would be still living like animals.

But thanks to our PM, this viewpoint is changing and aligning itself towards the true glory of Ancient India, the true history of Bharatvarsha.

"But what to do by knowing past?" asked one of my friend.
I quoted Edmund Burke. “Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.”
If we don't remember how great we were and how others manipulated us to divide and rule, we would most probably let other do the same.
Unless and Until we know about our glorious past, we would fill ashamed every time when someone would mock ancient India.
India was the richest country before Britain and other European countries decided to come here and loot it. Also the most ancient civilization of the world. The world’s first university was established in Takshila in 700BC.

Today we are going to see some of the inventions in the Ancient Era of Bharat that somehow shaped the modern world.

Surgery: Sushruta (c. 600 BCE) is considered as the "founding father of surgery". The Suśruta-saṃhitā, in its extant form, in 184 chapters contains descriptions of 1,120 illnesses, 700 medicinal plants, 64 preparations from mineral sources and 57 preparations based on animal sources. Sushruta along with his team conducted complicated surgeries like cataract, artificial limbs, cesareans, fractures, urinary stones. He even conducted brain surgeries and plastic surgery. He and his team conducted more than 3,000 surgeries with help of more than 120 surgical tools.

Zero: Aryabhata, Inventor of the Digit Zero whose invention changed the world. Let me put it in a simple manner, imagine a world without computers, shocking isn’t it! But thanks to The Indian scholar Pingala (c. 2nd century BC) who developed a binary system for describing prosody.Computers can read and write in binary code. And zero is the soul of binary code.

Number system: An Indian mathematician is credited with developing it. Aryabhata of Kusumapura developed the place-value notation in the 5th century. And spared us from the long marching band of Roman numbers.

Yoga: Patanjali, the compiler of the Yoga Sutras, the father or founder of the greater system of Yoga. The simple practice providing relaxation. World recognized the Yoga by celebrating International Day of Yoga on 21st June.

Sanskrit: It is considered to be the mother of all language. We all remember the famous dialogue of Akshay Kumar in Namaste London, so that is how important the Sanskrit language is. Plus it is considered to be the most suitable language for computers.
