Political assassinations that some what Influenced our life.

Assassination, a word believed to be derived from the Arabic word Hashshashin. The act of killing the famous personality due to some ideological difference or monetary benefits or sometimes just for publicity. Assassination is an age old political tool to remove an opponent from the commendable position.


History itself has been altered due to this heinous act of assassination. Sometimes the ripple created by an assassin is contained within the decades but some of the assassination altered the whole timeline of humankind. The political figure who are assassinated leaves a void, difficult to fulfill by the successor.

Some of the Political assassinations that reshaped the world we live in are:


Martin Luther King Jr.


An eminent personality in the Civil Right Movements by African-Americans. He chooses the path of non-violence and Civil Disobedience, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. He was shot on 4th April 1968, the leader of a non-violent movement came to a violent end.A great civil right activist who would have definitely contributed further more if not assassinated.

Indira Gandhi


First Lady Prime minister of India and a prominent political figure. Although she was not related to Mahatma Gandhi, her popularity was an exact match t him. She was able to maintain her position even through the political storm from opposition. She was the voice of modernization in India and also an aggressive leader. She was assassinated and her plan for modernizing India also died with him. Although she has faced some unpopularity during an emergency, she will be forever remembered as a fearless leader.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy

        

Popularly known as JFK, a young leader taking over a prominent position of American President. Generally believed to be the position of old and experienced people. Not only Kennedy proved them wrong but also helped the USA to prepare to land on Moon. A bullet from Sniper took his life on 22nd November 1963, a day which unleashed a series of conspiracy theory. His presence would definitely have stopped the USA from entering Vietnam War and in turn change the course of history.

Abraham Lincoln


Hailed as the Most AdoredPresident of United States was also assassinated on 14th April 1865. Lincoln became popular by the reform he brought. With Emancipation Proclamation, he set slaves free and by winning the war he preserved the union. His Assassination definitely left the USA a void to be left unfulfilled.

Archduke Franz Ferdinand



Some of the World War geeks may know him but he is mostly unknown to the rest of the normal world. The assassination of this nobleman on the Sarajevo was the first stone thrown in the lake of the timeline of humans, as it created a ripple of waves that set in motion the World War. A huge impact on Humankind because that world war started a chain of events that are still disturbing us.
